UVA School of Medicine Pre-Med Mentoring Program

The following is a message regarding the UVA School of Medicine Pre-Med Mentoring Program.

 

Greetings,

My name is Tracy Kovach, and I am a third year student at the School of Medicine here at UVA. I just wanted to let you know about the Pre-Med Mentoring Program, an opportunity that is being offered to UVa undergrad students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.  Undergraduates will be paired up with a current medical student to use as a resource to talk about medical school and becoming a physician. We hope to dissolve the myths associated with medical school, as well as provide encouragement and opportunities to learn more about the professional field. In addition to medical students providing “as-needed” support, we also hope to have an event in the fall and in the spring, as well as updates about community service opportunities.
